we're getting ready for the school year; sydney is excited to start 1st grade and morgan is excited to start 2nd grade. i forget sometimes how close in age they are. cameron is basically starting kindergarten this year, even though she just turned 4, and is excited to learn along side morgan.

today, i especially thanked God for my nieces and nephew. they are staying the night tonight for the first time, and i love knowing i get to wake up to them. my apartment is thrashed, as it has been full of busy kids all day. cameron got a big kid bed (a twin size bed) and she and i both feel so much better. she had long grown out of her old bed, and is excited to finally have a bed the size of her sisters' beds.

my all time favorite chapter in the Bible is Psalm 18. it paints a perfect picture of salvation. it describes to me what it looked like when God was saving me; when i was passing from death into life. when someone calls to Him for saving grace, His love is faster than a mother's love and stronger than a father's love.

i think of all of the amazing things people have accomplished. the achievments of people really show us how amazing mankind is. i can pick up a chunk of plastic and have a converstation with someone on the other side of the world. if i don't speak that person's language, i can turn to the box adjacent to the chunk of plastic, push some buttons, and begin to read words, via that box, that teach me the language. the lightbulb truly baffles me, still. maybe this seems simple to some, but i just can't figure it out. i guess i missed that day in school. among many.

if mankind can create these amazing things, along with creating hybrid plants, hybrid animals, huge things that can fly to the moon (and has), refridgerators, comfy socks out of animal fur, and ice cream; wonder at how amazing He is. Wonder at Him. that's part of what makes a great relationship with God. ponder the unexplainable part of God. the One Who is light; the One Who is everywhere at all times.
